HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
I started my blog back in University, in 2013. It began as a creative outlet and a hobby, where I shared my passion for interior design, style, and travels. I swear, my family and friends were the only ones who ever read it! Now, with some focussed motivation, I'm turning this hobby into something a little more serious... I'm hoping to slowly evolve the blog into a style/photography portfolio where I can share my love of traveling, photography and style with a wider audience.
WHERE DID YOU GO TO SCHOOL & WHAT DID YOU STUDY?
I graduated from the University of Calgary in 2015, where I studied Communications + Business. With my love of creativity and design, I also received a Certificate of Visual Design (specializing in interior design).
WHAT ADVICE COULD YOU GIVE TO STARTING BLOGGERS + CREATIVE BUSINESS OWNERS?
As a creative individual, you are bound to be judged and criticized for your work. This was a huge struggle for me when I first started blogging. The Internet (and social media) can be a cruel place and people love to hide behind their screens. If I could provide any advice, it would be to stay true to yourself and your dreams. Do not give up on your goals because of what others may think/say. You are beautiful, talented and unique, so believe 100% in your fire and in your potential <3.
WHAT KIND OF CAMERA & LENS DO YOU USE?
I use a Canon 70D. My favourite lens is the Sigma 50 mm 1.4 lens.
DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER JOB, BESIDES BLOGGING?
Yes I do! I own a creative agency: Weston/Creative, where I provide videography/photography and marketing services to clients. Check it out!
5 THINGS YOU COULD NOT LIVE WITHOUT?
//1. Ronaldo the Bug, Family + Friends // 2. My Camera // 3. My Passport // 4. A Good IPA Beer or a Good Americano // 5. My Laptop //
DO YOU HAVE SPONSORED CONTENT?
Yes I do have some sponsored content on my blog. If you are an affiliate or would like to work with me, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will always acknowledge and indicate whether content was sponsored.
